As noted, WWE parted ways with NXT Diva Kendall Skye last week as she requested her release. Skye was hurt by two serious wrist injuries while in developmental but her promo work was said to be outstanding from the beginning. Because of that and her kickboxing background, WWE wanted to groom her as their version of UFC Champion Ronda Rousey. People in the company seemed to be high on that idea at first but then it was dropped. They also talked about bringing her up as a female bodyguard for AJ Lee but that idea was given to Tamina Snuka a while back.

That would've been awesome! I've heard of Skye before, but have never seen her wrestle, and definitely never heard about this idea of her.
It would have been cool.. Seems like she had a bright future with the company.

Yeah, but, apparently she didn't want to work there anymore.

Yeah, but, apparently she didn't want to work there anymore. If she leaves the wrestling business all together, that would be a good move. If she left just to go work somewhere else, it wasn't so smart.

WWE is probably the best wrestling company. They are the best mainstream company by far.. Doesn't mean WWE has great production either. The wrestling business has been lackluster overall the last little while. Why? Because TNA's been awful. Back when TNA was competition, you could watch the WWE and enjoy it and wanting to watch every week, every time it came on.. SmackDown's never watched, Raw's hardly watched by some diehard fans. If you also remember, WCW and WWE... There was REAL competition and they were writing for their families and their livelihoods. They don't have that anymore, and it's hurting the wrestling business.

Then they should do it again. Not competition, but upping the story lines.

Then they should do it again. Not competition, but upping the story lines. But why would they? As far as they are concerned, there's no reason to do it. Their jobs aren't being threatened and neither is their talent thinking about switching to help a rising company. Most it is, is talents past their prime going to a company that is on the decline. WWE just isn't threatened.

But they need to keep it interesting.

But they need to keep it interesting. But they aren't! That's what I'm saying.. And they aren't trying anything to change that.
